Monahan Blythen Hopkins Architects (formally CGHP Architects) was established in 1978 following the struggles in the 1970’s concerning proposed development plans for the Covent Garden neighbourhood of central London which threatened the communities which lived and worked there. With much of our work in central London, we have considerable skill with regard to extracting the maximum potential of sites and buildings and developing imaginative design solutions in response to constrained site conditions.
We are a multidisciplinary architectural practice, drawing on a wealth of experience and knowledge from a broad range of sectors. We offer creative, pragmatic solutions to problems backed up by our history of working on a wide variety of project types using multiple procurement routes. We have worked on traditional contracts from small to large projects, as well as design & build projects from both the client and the contractor’s sides. This has provided us with the experience and ability to deliver schemes that are highly economic, whilst maintaining design and construction quality as a priority.
