Homewood Lodge is an early 1930’s property with Arts and Craft influences. MBH architects designed and oversaw the extension and remodel of the house to meet the needs of its new owners.
The design opened up the floor plan at ground floor level, improving circulation and creating views to the garden and woodland beyond. The kitchen, dining room and formal reception room were all enlarged by the addition of the new rear extension.
The first floor was reconfigured and extended to add one bedroom, as well as increasing the size of all the existing bedrooms and providing them with ensuite bathrooms.
A large family room with additional library was added to the property in a single storey side extension.
In addition a swimming pool building was built in the garden, providing a gym, steam room, changing rooms and a 12.5m pool.
MBH architects also oversaw the complete redesign of the rear and front gardens.
