MBH were appointed to refurbish, extend and carry out landscaping works to this delightful private residence dating from the 1920’s set on the banks of the river Crouch with views and access to the river.

Reclaimed oak flooring was used throughout the ground floor the external walls were insulated, the roof replaced with new hand made tiles and a new entrance porch added. A “barn” style extension with green oak exposed trusses internally and clad in shiplap boarding with the south face of the roof clad totally in photovoltaic panels. The “barn” extension is connected to the existing building by a fully glazed contemporary link with triangular roof light.
